David Lynch

Nowadays people had spoken a lot about him, because of the the return of his 90's cult serie Twin Peaks (which is my favorite show). But what most of the people doesn't know is that he is not only a film maker that makes bizarres movies, he is also a painter and a musician (who makes bizarres painting and music).

He was born in Missoula, Montana in the USA, his mother was an english teacher, he had one sister called Martha, he was a Boy Scout for some years and he studied at the School of the museum of fine Arts in Boston, where he first was interested in painting, until he discovered the magic world of cinema and started to make short films, that were very dark and confused.

Then he moved to Los Angeles and studied to become a film maker. In 1971 he made his first movie called Eraserhead, a surreal black and white drama about a man who had a monster for a baby. After this picture he created his own and unique style and he hasn't stopped making movies like that. With tones of comedy, parody, thriller, sci-fi, etc. and with themes like dreams, crimes, sex and mystery.

My favorite Lynch's movie es Blue Velvet and is about a young man who fall in love with a strange singer. But my favorite work of him is Twin Peaks (the mother of all the modern series). It begins with the dead of the town's most loved teenager, Laure Palmer. And I'm very happy because after 26 years season 3 finally has arrived.
