The last movie I saw was "Niñas araña" (AKA spider-girls haha) a chilean movie directed by Guillermo Helo and edited by Javier Estévez, my teacher of montage haha. I really wanted to see it because i think is great what new chileans movies are trying to represent: the real Chile, with reliable characters , played by actors who aren't from the elite haha. I was very interest in this movie and I had been watching only chilean movies in theaters lately; "Mala Junta" (Bad Influence), "La Mentirita Blanca" (A little white lie). I was to going to see it with my friend Sasa, but and hour before it started he called and told me that he couldn't go because he had a test in the morning (this was on a wednesday night) what I think it was a lie, the real reason is he's too lazy to take a bus haha. So I went alone to the "Cineplanet" of Costanera Center, bought french fries, putted it in a bag and watched the movie. I liked it a lot, it talks...
What I love the most about cinema is storytelling, writting scripts and directing are my favorites jobs, but sadly this term we haven't had a single subject about this topics. Instead we have montage and photografy, they aren't my strong suit, but I have to love them anyway, because they're also essencial part of the movie making process. However I think communication and creativity are what really moves me, especially if is fiction, and this term the more likely subject we have to this is English so this has to be my favorite subject. We don't only learn about talking and grammar, we also had been encouraging ours imagination and writting abilities among others important skills like vocabulary and spelling by blog sessions (in where I always take my time thinking a lot about what I´ll writte) and fun activities where we are force to be creative. Our teacher Pamela Lara is vey nice and gently, she has a lot of patience with students like me (slow and distracted). I re...

David Lynch Nowadays people had spoken a lot about him, because of the the return of his 90's cult serie Twin Peaks (which is my favorite show). But what most of the people doesn't know is that he is not only a film maker that makes bizarres movies, he is also a painter and a musician (who makes bizarres painting and music). He was born in Missoula, Montana in the USA, his mother was an english teacher, he had one sister called Martha, he was a Boy Scout for some years and he studied at the School of the museum of fine Arts in Boston, where he first was interested in painting, until he discovered the magic world of cinema and started to make short films, that were very dark and confused. Then he moved to Los Angeles and studied to become a film maker. In 1971 he made his first movie called Eraserhead, a surreal black and white drama about a man who had a monster for a baby. After this picture he created his own and unique style and he hasn't stopped making movies l...

This selfie was taken by my friend Marcelo, I was with him and my others friends Luciano and Camilo in Valdivia for the International Film Festival back in 2015. We were just came out of the theater when this old man called Lucho came to us. He was a little drunk and he looked like a very nice and happy person, then he started to talk about his life and he told us that he was living in the streets, but that didn't matter because the company of young people like us kept him alive. We stayed with him for a long time, talking about the problems of existence, the absurdism in life and others philosophycal topics, also telling jokes and laughing of the people that walked around us. Finally Marcelo took the picture and Lucho was very excited because he could see his self in the screen and he started to scream: "That's my, look at my, oh my god I look so pretty" We couldn't stop laughing, I like this picture because it was a very nice moment and it reminds me of tha...

My favourite piece of technology I'm not really into technology stuff, I hate cellphones and I try to use mine the less I can, but it's very difficult to do that, especially if I want to keep in touch with my friends, university, work, etc.  I think my favourite piece of technology is the microwave, we got it when I was a child and since then I had been using it a lot. I know how to cook and I'm not so bad in it, but with the microwave everything its more easy and fast, thats why I like. I use it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I love bread with melted cheese and I make delicious sausages and burgers with the help of the microwave, so I don't know what would happen to me if I don't have one. I probably would have to start cooking more often, but I'm lazy and impatient (especially when I'm hungry).
When I was a child I wanted to become a marine biologist and swim along the dolphines and whales. Then i realized I haven't had the stomach to do a surgery and that  I couldn't stand blood eighter. So I focused in literature and drawing keeping biology and the others sciences away forever. Since i can recall i always loved movies. My parents were separated and i lived with my mom for almost all my life, seeing my father only on the weekends, when he used to take me to the movies, because he loves cinema and he couldn't think of something else (And I'm grateful for that). As I was growing up my interest in films grew as well and by the time of applying to university I only wanted to become a film maker, I considered Advertising for a bit, but I really hate shopping and brands so I discarded and entered to Cinema. My experience in the university had been good, I enjoy all the assignments, especially workshop so I think i'm fine and in the right way. However there...
